so, remember the painting from the last blog?
well, I tried to varnish it...but instead of varnish I used white color by mistake and it got destroyed. after crying for an hour and eating a lot in order to relax I've decided to redo it bigger and hopefully better.
here is the process:
first underpaint
finished
destroyed
the new version in progress
finished

ReplyDeletehi....great work;)
ReplyDeletei always try to comfort myself with knowing that a second try will be better. and oddly it is. yours is here! i do still like the destroyed one too. the surface must be interesting. but that last one seems to push upwards and outwards with light and more spine or something. it's great.
ReplyDeleteI really admire you for painting the whole thing again. It takes courage not to give up. The second painting is beautifully poignant.
